Happy Black History Month!
I wasn’t sure how I wanted honor Black History Month but felt a deep desire to, especially considering our current political climate.
While at my birthday dinner recently, my cousin informed me that Rosa Parks was 42 (the age I turned the previous day) when she was arrested for refusing to give up her seat on a bus to a white man in 1955. I couldn’t help but to feel a sense of pride when I found out she was an Aquarius (her birthday is just 4 days after mine), explaining why her rebellious spirit resonates so deeply with me.
It’s crazy to think about the hundreds of bus rides I’ve taken (my main mode of transportation throughout my teens and early 20’s) with no consideration for how Rosa’s fight allowed for me to take whichever seat I wanted. My ancestors were so courageous and resilient, it brings me to tears when I think about it. I’ve lived such a liberated life (freedom being one of my greatest core values) and I owe it all to them.
Honestly, I’ve gone years with putting very little thought into Black History Month. I realize I’ve taken for granted how those who came before me, fought for me. The threat of history repeating itself is frightening and eye opening. You can imagine how raising a black boy in America has spiked my awareness as well.
With that being said, I vow to channel my inner Rosa Parks from now on. I’m showing up resilient and unwavering in what I believe is fair, just and equal for all. I’m combating hate with love. I’m pouring into my community- financially, physically and spiritually. I’m trying my best to be the change I wish to see in this world and I hope you’ll join me.

Star Report
There’s a full moon in Leo this Wednesday and whenever I think about a full moon in Leo, I think: FUN! Leo is a fire sign, bringing all the passion and excitement. Yes Leo is known for their “Me! Me! Me!” energy but did you know Leo is actually one of the most generous signs of the Zodiac? You get what you give with them.
If you’re dating or married to a Leo you should know Valentine’s Day (this Friday) is not the holiday to take lightly. Make the plans, buy the gifts. Not into the consumerism of it all? Do something else but just do something. Leo thrives on attention and won’t let you live it down if you don’t. And if you do? You will be rewarded with their generosity.
Leo rules the heart, so anything to get your blood pumping and flowing will help you tap into their essence. Here’s how:
❤️🔥 Massage therapy
❤️🔥 Fun cardio workouts (dancing, roller skating, etc.)
❤️🔥 Watch a comedy, thriller or horror film
❤️🔥 Concerts, live music, sing out loud (Leo is all about theatrics and performances!)
Where can you expect this fiery Leo energy to show up in your life this week? Check your birth chart to see which house the full moon is illuminating for you. For me, Leo is in my 7th house of partnership and relationships. Sounds like a promising Valentine’s day for me! 🤪🩷
